A contrast between the symbolic example of Saul (Paul) as the epitome of evil and Philip, the epitome of good. 
The goal is to offer yourself, not to your comfort, even to your safety, but rather to make Christ known.  It will be the means by which Christ's kingdom enters this world. 

A Faith that Stands While Stones Fly

Dan discusses the role of offering yourself as a perfect sacrifice, as worship requires laying it all down. Even when life isn't throwing stones at you. It marks Stephen's martyrdom as a clear symbol of the type of life marks this new kingdom in Christ. A life of service, grace, and power.
